Dyziplen - taken by the handful

On Season 2 episode 5 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (@KimmySchmidt) Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) gives her son Buckley the medication Dyziplen which “treats hyperactivity, ADHA, and Kanye West Spectrum Disorder”.  Is it a real drug?

 

 

Of course not.  But the methylmorphixan diacetate is similar to d-3-methoxy-N-methylmorphinan which is chemical name for dextromethorphan.  It is commonly used in cough syrup and is the "DM" in medicines like Robitussin DM.  At very high doses it can be abused and induce hallucinations or euphoria. 

 

So if you are a parent at your wits end after the playground, skip the Dyziplen.  Try this instead:
